McMaster Digital Archive temporarily offline

Some of you may have noticed that the Digital Archive at McMaster University, including it’s extensive military map and aerial photo collection, has been offline for quite some time. I contacted the University and was told that the archive is currently only accessible to on-campus users due to a security vulnerability. They are actively working on a solution and expect to have it back online in September of this year.

In the meantime, if there is a specific image you require you can request it using their Request for Digitized Material Form. Due to the high volume of requests it may take up to five business days to respond. To manage demand they are limiting the number of requests to eight digital items per user per month, and they ask that you include any relevant links (including those that currently time-out) in your request.
