Of the nearly three hundred articles on this blog the majority are dedicated to remembering those who served their country in a time of war. The soldiers, sailors and airmen featured here include my own relatives as well as those of my clients and readers. Others are the connected to a letter, photograph or other piece of ephemera I’ve acquired in years gone by. Regardless of how they came to my attention they all deserve to have their story shared and their memory passed on to future generations. Over the years I’ve been contacted by dozens of readers, and in many cases relatives, who stumble upon an article after googling their military ancestor. Making these connections is what it’s all about.
I’ve used categories and tags to help visitors find these stories and I also created a Remembrance Gallery a couple of years ago. Recently I updated the drop-down menus at the top of each page to include a direct link to all the individuals remembered on my blog. You’ll find them sorted alphabetically by surname in the “People” sub-menu. I’ve also included a “Places” sub-menu which includes links to articles and photo galleries from my travels, both overseas and closer to home.
I will do my best to keep these links up-to-date and improve them over time. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
